2. What We Do Not Collect
This section matters more than the next one. The following categories of information are never collected, transmitted, logged, or stored by ApexConverter:
- Any value entered into any calculator field — incomes, loan balances, property values, tax figures, body measurements, clinical values, engineering tolerances, or business financials.
- Any calculation result generated by any engine.
- Any file, dataset, or CSV you generate or export.
- Biometric, precise geolocation, or device-fingerprint identifiers.
- Cross-site behavioural profiles built from your activity elsewhere on the web.
This is enforced architecturally rather than by policy. The client-side engines described in our Security Policy have no transmission code path for input values.
3. What We Do Process
Technical request data. Like any web server, ours records the IP address, user agent, referring URL, and requested path for each request. IP addresses are truncated for analytics purposes and raw logs are retained for a limited period solely for abuse prevention and security investigation.
Aggregate analytics. We measure page views, device class, and country at an aggregate level to decide which calculators to build and where performance needs attention. These metrics are not linked to individuals and cannot be reversed to a person.
Voluntary correspondence. If you email us, we process the address and content you send in order to reply. Correspondence is retained for up to 24 months and is never added to a marketing list.
Local preferences. Display preferences such as unit system may be stored in your browser's local storage. This data remains on your device and is never transmitted.
4. Legal Bases for Processing
| Processing activity | Legal basis (GDPR Art. 6) |
|---|---|
| Serving pages and static assets | Legitimate interests — operating the requested service |
| Security logging and abuse prevention | Legitimate interests — protecting the service |
| Aggregate, anonymised analytics | Legitimate interests — service improvement |
| Personalised advertising cookies | Consent, where legally required |
| Responding to your correspondence | Legitimate interests / performance of a request |
5. Cookies and Local Storage
We set no first-party analytics, advertising, or profiling cookies. Where a consent framework applies in your jurisdiction, advertising partners may set cookies only after you have provided consent through the notice presented on your first visit, and you may withdraw that consent at any time.
Blocking all cookies in your browser will not impair any calculator on this site, because no calculator depends on cookies to function.
6. Advertising Partners
Contextual display advertising funds free access. Advertising partners operate as independent controllers for any data they collect through their own tags and are bound by their own privacy notices. We require, as a condition of participation, that partners must not attempt to read calculator form values, must not inject additional trackers, and must honour consent signals including Global Privacy Control.
Critically, advertising partners have no technical access to your calculator inputs. Those values are held in JavaScript function scope, never written to a global object or data layer, and never exposed to third-party code.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may hold rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and non-discrimination for exercising those rights. California residents additionally hold rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out of sale or sharing — we do not sell or share, so the latter is satisfied by default.

Because we hold no calculation data and no account records, an access or erasure request will in most cases correctly return the result that we hold no personal data relating to you.
8. Data Retention
| Data category | Retention period |
|---|---|
| Calculator inputs and results | Zero — never collected |
| Raw server access logs | Up to 30 days, then deleted |
| Aggregate anonymised analytics | Up to 26 months, non-identifiable |
| Email correspondence | Up to 24 months from last contact |
9. Children's Privacy
ApexConverter is a general-audience service not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Because calculation is entirely client-side, student use of our education and math tools in supervised settings involves no data collection whatsoever. If you believe a child has provided personal information through correspondence, contact admin@apexconverter.com and we will delete it promptly.
10. Changes to This Policy
Material changes will be reflected in the version number and revision date at the top of this page and summarised in a notice on the homepage for 30 days. We will never make a retroactive change that weakens the Zero-Server Client-Side Execution guarantee — that commitment is architectural and permanent.
Frequently Asked Questions
5 analyst-written answers to the questions practitioners actually ask — optimised for voice and answer-engine retrieval.
What personal data does ApexConverter collect?
Almost none. We do not collect names, email addresses, or account details unless you voluntarily email us. Calculator inputs are never collected at all. Our servers receive only the standard technical request data that any web server receives — IP address, user agent, and requested URL — which is IP-anonymised and retained for a limited period for security and aggregate analytics.
Do you use cookies?
We set no first-party tracking or profiling cookies. A single functional preference key may be stored in local storage if you change a display setting, and it never leaves your device. Advertising partners may set their own cookies subject to your consent choices where consent is legally required.
Is ApexConverter GDPR and CCPA compliant?
Yes. Because calculator inputs are never transmitted, the overwhelming majority of what would ordinarily be personal data under GDPR never enters our systems. For the limited technical data we do process, we rely on legitimate interests for security and service operation, and we honour all access, deletion, and opt-out rights.
Do you sell my data?
No. We do not sell, rent, broker, or otherwise share personal information for monetary or other valuable consideration, as those terms are defined under the CCPA and CPRA. Our revenue derives from contextual advertising, which does not require user data.
Can children use ApexConverter?
The service is directed at a general audience and is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Educational calculators are frequently used by students in supervised settings, and since no data is collected during calculation, such use presents no data risk.
