  3. Apply the technique multiplier. Scooped is 160/120 = 1.333×; sifted is 110/120 = 0.917×; spooned is 1 and needs no adjustment.
  4. Check what it compounds to. About 40 g of surplus per scooped cup means roughly a full extra cup across a three-cup recipe.
  5. Weigh instead, if you can. A gram is a gram regardless of technique, which removes the largest single source of variance in home baking.
