Annual maintenance is modelled as a percentage of purchase price, the convention in marine budgeting, with ten percent a widely used planning figure that rises for older vessels and falls for small, simply-equipped boats. Mooring, insurance and fuel are entered directly since they vary enormously by location and usage.
